Sorghum is simple to cook and adds a hearty, nutty flavor to foods. You can make it ahead and store it in the refrigerator to add to recipes. After cooking the sorghum, use it immediately, or cool and store.

1 c Desert Oasis whole grain sorghum
3 c water

Stovetop Method – In a medium saucepan, add sorghum to water. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and let cook for approximately 40-55 minutes or until the sorghum is tender. Drain any remaining liquid and serve.

Slow Cooker Method – Place sorghum and water in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high until all the liquid is gone, approximately 4 hours.
